Favorite Changing Table Light

Middle-of-the-night diaper changes were a routine part of life with my baby before he learned to sleep through the night. I struggled to find a good night light that would work for this. It had to be dim enough and focused enough, and near his butt! My changing pad sits on top of my dresser and it takes up nearly the full width of it, so I didn’t have space to put anything on top of the dresser that would take up much room. After doing a lot of looking around at “changing table lights” and getting frustrated that nothing fit my needs, I found the perfect one.

It’s not really a changing table light at all. It’s a clip-on reading lamp. But this is the mother of all reading lamps!

It’s very slim, so it fits in the small space I have on the dresser between the changing pad and the wall. It can clip onto the side lip of the dresser or stand up by itself in that space. It’s rechargeable, so there are no cords and I don’t have to worry about finding a nearby outlet space or routing a power cord. In the 7 months I’ve had it I’ve only had to recharge it once.

Variable brightness levels

It has variable brightness levels which I can control with a simple touch on the base. I pretty much only use the lowest level for diaper-changing, and it’s the perfect amount of light to diaper change without totally waking up the baby. On top of that, I can bend the goose-neck to aim that light directly where I need it–onto that dirty bottom! When I don’t need it during the day, I bend it down and tuck it out of the way. And, it looks nice and sleek.

Seriously, this little light is amazing for the price and after the diaper changes are over I’ll be using it for lots of other things, like actual reading.
